AI Labs by Taivas

Grades 5 to 12 · live online

From AI awareness to AI creation.

AI Labs by Taivas teaches school students to think with AI, experiment with it, build with it, and create things that solve real problems. Hands-on, project-first, live in batches of ten.

Every child already uses AI. Almost none of them can build with it.

Students use AI every day for homework, images and answers. Nobody has shown them what is happening behind the box, or how to make something with it.

We believe students should not just learn what AI is or how to use the latest tools. They should learn to think with AI, experiment with it, build with it, and create things that solve real problems.

The goal is simple: raise a generation that does not just consume technology, but understands it, questions it, builds with it and creates real impact.

At AI Labs, every student goes through the same loop.

  1. 1Learn
  2. 2Experiment
  3. 3Build
  4. 4Test
  5. 5Improve
  6. 6Showcase

Hands-on, project-first and age-appropriate: AI fundamentals, creativity, prompting, data, experimentation, prototyping and responsible AI use. Every session takes a student one step further, from understanding an idea to building something with it.

Small batches, a trainer who knows every student by name

Work that is built, tested and argued over together

Six rules. Every level, every cohort.

Live sessions of 90 minutes with a trainer present throughout, a batch of ten grouped by level and never mixed, and nothing installed: every tool runs in a browser on an account Taivas provides.

  1. 01

    One artefact a session

Every session ends with something that can be opened, shown, tested or assessed.

  2. 02

    Their own data

Every level trains or evaluates a model on data the students chose themselves.

  3. 03

    Meet the failure

Every level meets at least one AI failure deliberately, not by accident.

  4. 04

    Tested by someone else

Every build is tested by a person who is not the student who built it.

  5. 05

    Defend it live

Every student demonstrates and defends their own project in the final session.

  6. 06

    Ends as a link

Every project opens on a phone the student does not own, sent to the parent before the demo.

Children and AI tools, stated plainly.

These rules apply to every cohort and every school we run in. They go in writing to every parent before the first session.

A Taivas batch in a lecture theatre
  • No student enters personal data, their own or anyone else's, into any AI tool.
  • Grades 5–6 are under 13: no personal AI account is created, on any tool, at any point. All work runs on a Taivas-issued account or in a trainer-hosted session.
  • Claude and Google AI Studio are 18+ and are trainer-hosted at every level. Never set as homework.
  • Published project pages carry no surname, no school name and no photograph of a child.
  • Sessions run in a monitored virtual classroom. Accounts are revoked 30 days after the showcase.

After cohort 1
