Curriculum
Nine carefully designed modules. Each one builds a specific skill. By the end, your child will think, speak, and lead differently.
What is debate? Why does it matter? Students learn the format, rules, and mindset of competitive debating through interactive demonstrations and their first practice round.
Claim, evidence, reasoning. Students learn the building blocks of a strong argument and practice constructing their own on real-world topics relevant to their age group.
Voice modulation, body language, eye contact, and stage presence. Students deliver short speeches and receive immediate feedback from trainers on delivery technique.
Think on your feet. Students receive a topic, get 60 seconds to prepare, and deliver a structured 2-minute speech. This builds quick thinking and confidence under pressure.
The art of listening and responding. Students learn to identify weaknesses in opposing arguments and construct effective counter-arguments on the spot.
Debate is a team sport. Students learn role allocation, argument division, and strategic coordination with partners in team debate formats.
How to prepare for a debate motion. Students learn sourcing evidence, organizing notes, and building a case file. Practical exercises with real motions.
A simulated tournament with real rounds, adjudication, and scoring. Students experience the intensity and excitement of competitive debating in a supportive environment.
The grand finale. Students deliver their best speeches in front of peers, trainers, and parents. Awards ceremony celebrating outstanding speakers, best arguments, and most improved.
British Parliamentary, World Schools, and Asian Parliamentary formats. Students learn the rules, speaker roles, and strategic nuances of each format used in international circuits.
Building airtight cases from first principles. Students learn mechanism design, stakeholder analysis, and how to construct arguments that win rounds at competitive tournaments.
Beyond basic rebuttal: strategic prioritization, argument weighing, and framing. Students learn to identify the crux of a round and win on the arguments that matter most.
Ethos, pathos, logos in practice. Students study and deliver speeches using rhetorical techniques drawn from history's greatest orators and adapt them for modern debate.
Points of Information strategy, cross-examination technique, and how to handle hostile questioning. Students practice in live rounds with immediate trainer feedback.
Breaking down motions from recent international tournaments. Students learn motion analysis frameworks and practice applying them to geopolitics, economics, and social policy.
Students learn to judge debates using international adjudication criteria. Understanding how judges think transforms how debaters speak and structure their arguments.
A full-format simulated tournament with multiple preliminary rounds, breaks, and a grand final. Real motions, real adjudication, real competitive pressure.

Tatsam founded Taivas Debate Club to make competitive debate accessible to every student in India. He has trained over 10,000 students across 50+ schools, led teams to Stanford, Harvard, and Oxford circuits, and built a network of coaches who share his belief that debate is the most powerful extracurricular activity a young person can do. Under his leadership, Taivas has become India's fastest-growing debate training organization.

Not at all. The bootcamp is designed for all experience levels. Beginners start with fundamentals, while experienced debaters get advanced training. Our small batch sizes ensure every student gets personalized attention at their level.
Just a notebook, pen, and water bottle. We provide all training materials, worksheets, and a bootcamp kit. Lunch and refreshments are included in the registration fee.
The bootcamp is held at IIT Bombay, one of India's most prestigious and secure campuses. The venue is easily accessible from all parts of Mumbai. Detailed venue instructions and parking information will be shared after registration.
Yes. The final showcase and awards ceremony on Day 2 is open to parents. It is one of the highlights of the bootcamp, where you get to see how much your child has grown in just two days.
Full refund if cancelled 7 days before the bootcamp. 50% refund for cancellations within 3-7 days. No refunds within 3 days of the event. Transfers to another student are always allowed at no extra cost.
